The Beastie Boys, “Paul Revere” In honor of the Beasties, one of whom (Adam Yauch, aka MCA) was recently diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully, the word is it’s treatable. Licensed to Ill was one of those albums I wasn’t allowed to listen to as a child of 9. I had to steal listens from the “bad kids” in my neighborhood on their walkmans. Just what is “Brass Monkey” anyway?, I thought. Ah, the innocence of youth. |
